View from my ironing board

Progress is slow, but I am inching along with my hourglass blocks.  Orca Bay is a beautiful, scrappy quilt, but you have work for it!!!

I am not quite halfway done yet.  I managed to put together 100 pairs yesterday in short time and hope to have more done by the end of the week.  I look forward to some of the block assembly!

In other news, my poor iron has had enough.  It was a cheapo and had begun to leak some time ago, but it still worked well for a $10.00 iron!  Today, however, it saw its last hourglass piece!

  1. Oh, I hate to hear about an iron - mine listens! Sounds like you are enjoying the process of a long journey.

  2. I used to buy cheap irons each less than $25.00 then I got a Rowenta and have been using it for the last 15 years with no problems. It is good to have good tools. ask for one for Mother's Day

  3. RIP, iron.
Slow and steady, and one day you'll have a beautiful Orca Bay!
